3 Dundalk properties sold at Allsop auction
Three Dundalk properties were sold for a total of 202,000 euros at the largest ever property auction in Ireland at the Allsop Space auction in the Shelbourne Hotel, on March 1st.
Over 14million euros was raised altogether, Allsop’s second best ever figure in terms of revenue raised from a sale.
The largest sale in Dundalk was a three bedroom detached house in Sandygrove, Blackrock which sold for 24,000 euros over its reserve at 124,000 euros.
Two apartments from Block B of Tain Court on Bridge Street were also sold under the hammer, one of which was over the reserve price and the other under the reserve.
One of the two bedroom apartments went for 42,000 euros which was 2,000 over it’s reserve and the other sold for 36,000 euros, 4,000 euros under it’s reserve.
On the day 112 of the 156 lots sold under the hammer, 92 of which were above the reserve, 15 of which were at the reserve price and five which were below the reserve.
Two properties were also sold in Carrickmacross, both at the reserve price.
A four bedroom mid terrace house in Chapel View was sold for 60,000 euros while a three bedroom semi detached house in Cluain Alainn was sold for 75,000 euros.
Today, Tuesday will see Dundalk’s former Sisters of Mercy convent as one of the featured properties at Real Estate Alliance’s first auction of 2013 in the O’Callaghan Alexander Hotel in Dublin.
The building in the Seatown area of the town is the most expensive item amongst the 24 lots set to go under the hammer as it comes with a reserve not to exceed 250,000 euros.
