3,500 jobs on offer at Career Zoo for Louth graduates

Louth graduates and professionals are encourgaed to gather in Dublin’s Convention Centre on Saturday February 9th for Career Zoo, where leading multinational and Irish employers will be offering high quality jobs and excellent long term career opportunities in Ireland.

Launched by Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton T.D., Career Zoo is Ireland’s biggest careers event aimed at hiring qualified professionals and graduates for jobs in this country.

The companies, from several industry sectors, want to meet potential candidates for over 3,500 professional and graduate jobs which are currently available.

One of the companies hiring and exhibiting at Career Zoo is PayPal who are based here in Louth.

Over 9,000 people attended last year’s Career Zoo event in September and roughly the same number of visitors are anticipated for next weekend’s event which is entirely free of charge.

Over 100 Irish and international organisations will be offering jobs and showcasing courses and upskilling opportunities at the major one-day event.

Experts will also offer advice on starting your own business.

Other activities include a ‘Tech Box’ where attendees can learn more about Ireland’s fastest growing sector, IT, career workshops and a career clinic where job seekers can go for advice and help.

‘IT’s Happening Here’, the campaign supported by Enterprise Ireland, will be promoting exciting career opportunities in Irish software sector firms.

Some 1,500 jobs are currently available with these Irish tech employers.

The sectors where full time jobs will be available include IT, engineering, pharmaceutical and biomedical, finance and accounting, sales, multilingual roles, HR, marketing, management roles and more.

There will be a very strong focus on jobs in the tech sector with an added emphasis on opportunities in cloud computing with companies such as Amazon and Workday.

Admission is completely free of charge however attendees are advised to register online at www.careerzoo.ie to gain faster entry.

The event will begin at 10am and finish at 6pm.
