€1.44 million drugs raid in Dundalk
Cannabis resin with a street value of €1.44 million was uncovered in a raid in Dundalk on Wednesday, February 15.
One man was arrested by gardai in connection with the find. Gardai attached to the Dundalk Drug Unit, assisted by the Garda National Drug Unit, stopped a van at Martin’s Cross in the town this afternoon.
During a search of the van, the gardai discovered 240kg of cannabis resin. The drugs have a street value of €1.44 million, pending analysis, said a spokesperson.
A man in his 30s was arrested. He is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Dundalk Garda Station.
