Trio banned from Dundalk matches

Three local men in their twenties have been banned from Dundalk Football club’s matches – both home and away, as part of bail conditions imposed at the local district court.

They were also told not to associate with each other.

Paul Jackson (21) of Mill Road, Dundalk, Dominic Kelly (25) of Cedarwood Park, Dundalk and 23 year old Stephen Smith of Villas Three, Muirhevnamor, Dundalk are each charged with public order offences at Clarke Railway Station in the town, on the 12th of July last year.

Jackson and Smith are also accused of violent disorder, while Stephen Smith is further charged with threatening to damage property there.

At the request of Gardai, Judge Flann Brennan made it a condition of bail that the three not associate with each other.

The bail terms also stipulate that they stay away from the vicinity of Oriel Park on match days when Dundalk Football Club are playing and that they not attend away matches involving the club.

The case has been adjourned until March 19.
