Thirteen year old Jamie Malone from Drumgowna in Stonetown spent his summer holidays in a recording studio, recording an eight track CD.

Jamie is a first year student at Inver College, Carrickmacross and has been singing from a young age and playing the guitar for over four years.

His album is called ‘Footprints’ and all proceeds from the album are going towards three charities of Jamie’s choice,Cara Cancer Support Centre, Ronald McDonald House (Crumlin) and SOSAD.

“Music is a big part of his life”, said his mother Martina Malone. “And it is his way of remembering those he has lost: his brother at ten days old in 2006, his godmother to suicide in 2012 and his Granda to cancer in just March of this year.”

The CD costs €10 and is available from SOSAD, Williamsons Place Dundalk, Mace on the Carrick Rd, Killanny/Louth Village, SOSAD Carrickmacross, Birdys and Keegans..
