Special afternoon to raise funds for music group

An afternoon of coffee, treats and music will take place this Sunday, 29 June from 3-7pm.

This event is being held in the home of John and Mary Gosling in Jenkinstown, to help raise funds for a young group of musicians travelling to New York this October to play in Carnegie Hall with the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland (CBOI). These young musicians are among the very best in Louth. Some have been members of the CBOI for up to 10 years.

They have shown outstanding commitment and dedication to the orchestra. Each year they undergo an extensive and demanding schedule of rehearsals and concerts - sometimes members perform up to fourconcerts in a weekend.

As a result of their commitment to the orchestra, their standard of performance is exceptional and they have earned the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall.

So please pop in if you fancy afternoon tea and some wholesome home baking in the picturesque and tranquil setting of Ravensdale.

Perfect for a stop off on a Sunday drive.

Take the left turn to Mc Crystals Petrol Station and it is the second house on the left hand side. The house will be marked with balloons.
