SOSAD, the suicide support group, is continuously recruiting new volunteers: in particular counsellors - accredited or pre-accredited, suicide intervention officers (who take the calls from those in distress), psychologists and receptionist-administration volunteers.

Every role is hugely rewarding and offers wonderful experience and if you think you might be interested, and want to do something to help others, please contact them on 042-9327311 or email your cv to dundalk@sosadireland.ie.

If you are struggling with life, and need the professional care and support provided by SOSAD then call them at 042-9327311 and they will be delighted to give you all the help you need. SOSAD was recently nominated for this year’s Pride of Ireland awards, and although they did not win the award, they were delighted to make the short list.

“It was a real honour to be even considered for such a prestigious award and it is all due to the wonderful volunteers in the charity that do so much to help others.

Every one of them should be so proud” said Peter Moroney of SOSAD.

SOSAD works to help anyone affected by suicide or depression as well as anyone unfortunately bereaved by suicide. They have the volunteers with the skills and experience to help anyone who calls or contacts them.
