Louth local Authorities had crews out across the county after the storms on St Stephen’s night and again on Friday morning.

Crews in north Louth had to withdraw at one stage as conditions had got so bad that there was a risk to their own safety.

Local authority fire service crews also attended a number of incidents throughout the county.

The Glyde farm Road in mid Louth and the Deer Park Road in Ravensdale were blocked but cleared in the course of the morning.

Crews were dealing with a number of flash floods and continuted to remove debris from roads.

Motorists were advised to only drive when necessary as there was still a significant amount of debris on roads particularly in wooded areas.
