Probation officer Monica Faulkner was offered the very best wishes and complimented on her professionalism on her final day at Ardee District Court last week.
Miss Faulkner is to leave next month after in excess of 12 years in the probation service in the wider Dundalk District area.
Judge Grainne Malone leading the tributes to Miss Faulkner, said that she had acted “ above and beyond the call of duty “since she had taken over as resident Judge covering Ardee.
She remarked she found her “reports and work most professional in the short time I have been here”.
The Judge said she believed that Miss Faulkner was to embark on another part of her life and wished her the very best.
State solicitor Fergus Mullen joined in wishing her well, saying that he always found Miss Faulkner “courteous and considerate.”
Inspector Brendan Cadden thanked her for her assistance on behalf of the Gardai, while Court Clerk Denise Clerkin wished her a long, happy and healthy retirement, describing her as a “total professional , great friend and a great support” to the court staff.
Replying Miss Faulkner thanked all for their kind words. “I enjoyed working with you all,” she said.
