Mattock Rangers, Collon, are staging a charity auction on Saturday 9 August. Doors open at 7.30. Mattock Rangers, founded in 1952, currently field 34 teams in Gaelic football, camogie, hurling and ladies football at age levels from under 8 to senior.
Accordingly, the need to expand facilities was recognized and extra playing pitches were purchased in 2011.
Floodlighting was installed recently on the new pitch requiring a large capital outlay. The present fundraising is being undertaken to pay for the floodlighting and also to renovate unused dressing rooms.
The auction aims to raise valuable funds for development of club facilities and also provide assistance to Ardee Hospice Homecare who will benefit from a share of the revenue raised.
On the night of the auction there will be a full bar, music, and food whilst bargain hunters browse the many lots on offer.
This auction is a great opportunity to acquire high-quality products and services at very low prices.
There will also be raffles for excellent prizes.Free supervised car parking will be available at the centre on the night.
Friends of the club and businesses in the wider area have provided donations for auction. Donations to the auction are tax-deductible for self employed and business people.
Purchases at the auction made by self- employed people and businesses are also tax deductible.
