Matthews Coaches are celebrating the tenth anniversary of their commuter service today and are giving away a whopping €10,000 in vouchers this week.
The innovative local company have been giving away prizes of between €60 and €1,000 in Matthews and One For All vouchers to lucky commuters in a range of competitions since Monday.
Matthews started their Dundalk-Drogheda-Dublin service a decade ago and the 1,000th passenger on board today was Briege Quigley who won €1,000 presented to her by managing director Paddy Matthews.
“We have had ten years of setting standards in comfort and safety, but we have only been able to do that with the support of our daily commuters,” said Paddy, who founded the company with his wife Mary.
“We would very much like to thank the people who enable us to provide such a quality service – our passengers.
The local businessman encourgaed everyone to get online on Matthews.ie, Facebook and Twitter this week, to be in with a chance of taking home vouchers courtesy of Matthews.
“We know that many of our passengers have our annual or six-monthly Taxsaver tickets, so we have a combination of Matthews.ie vouchers and One For All vouchers,” said Paddy.
“We have broken many records and set many standards as a company, but if it wasn’t for the faith of the local passengers in the early days, the service would not be here today.
“We would like to thank everyone that has used, and continues to use our services, and we look forward to welcoming you on board all week for the celebrations.”
