Dundalk, 2 July 2012 � PayPal, the leading global online payments company, opened the doors to its newest operations centre today in Dundalk and welcomed nearly 60 employees to the site. Loc al employer eBay Inc., which includes eBay and Paypal placed ninth in the Best Large Workplaces category at the Great Place to Work Awards held in Dublin last week.

The multinational corporation, which employs hundreds of people in the local area from their European Operations Centre at the Xerox Technology Park, was recognised for strengths across a number of areas including its dedication to personal development for all employees, sharing information, rewarding staff and its corporate social responsibility activity.

Louise Phelan, Vice President of PayPal’s Global Operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa was also named as Ireland’s Most Trusted Leader at the awards for demonstrating a great passion for her people in PayPal and her desire to create a great workplace. PayPal’s goal is to create a culture of two way engagement in order to foster trust among employees.
