Following the initial judging of entries, L’Oreal has announced the successful finalists who will compete at the grand final of the L’Oréal Colour Trophy Awards and Dundalk salon Mizu on Riverlane with its team headed by Aoibheann Coleman will go on to compete for the Colour Trophy Award.
24 year old Aoibheann came fourth in the Senior Ladies Full Fashion category at the Irish Hairdressing Championships 2014 which took place earlier this year.
Aoibheann now has the chance to win the L’Oréal Colour Trophy, which is the world’s longest running and most directional live hairdressing competition.
Setting a high standard throughout the industry for 59 years, it presents hairdressing salons with the platform to showcase their unique talent, by fusing fashion trends and technical excellence to create outstanding results.
Cutting edge ‘Hairspiration’ will take to the stage as the competition takes place on July 7 in the Convention Centre Dublin.
Showcasing a blend of avant-garde talent, innovation and originality, this ‘Hair Inspired by Fashion’ competition will be the highlight of the Irish hairdressing industry calendar.
There are three prestigious awards in the competition; the highly coveted L’Oréal Colour Trophy, L’Oréal Men’s Image Award and The L’Oréal Colour Trophy – Young Colourist Award, which will be judged by a panel of renowned international industry experts including Daniel Galvin OBE, Trevor Sorbie MBE, Jason Miller, Alan Edwards, Andrew Mulvenna and Jessie Collins.
This year’s guest show-teams will feature the most creative and inspiring presentations from Ireland and Paris.
