Ireland’s top motocross riders hit Dundalk

The cream of Ireland’s top motocross youth and adult riders will all head to Dundalk on Sunday, 30 March Championship at Dundalk Motopark, Kilcurry.

There is a new format to the championship for the 2014 season which allows both youth and adult riders to complete on the one day, giving spectators plenty of fun filled action.

Kids from six years old on 50cc bikes to seventeen year olds on 250cc bikes are set to battle bar to bar in six different Southern Centre grades gunning for points, where at the end of the season each and every point gained by the rider throughout the championship will be vital in crowning the overall winner.

The adult element to the days racing also includes a total of six grades, with competitors all battling hard to gain vital points during racing.

Dundalk Motopark offers excellent spectator parking and facilities.

Spectators have an almost unhindered view of the entire track, which has some of the most spectacular jumps seen on any motocross circuit in Ireland from the purpose built viewing platform.

One of the first purpose built Supercross tracks, in Ireland, this venue has been developed over the years into a quality motocross track.

With a selection of Tabletop jumps, Berms and Woops sections it is a technical track with plenty of challenges for all riders.

This festival of motocross will be an event not to be missed.

Racing starts at the Kilcurry circuit at 11am.

Admission €5 for adults and under 12s free.

Dundalk and District Motocross Club will also hold their AGM today (Tuesday) at 8pm in the Barleycorn Lounge Kilcurry, all members welcome.
