The Greenmount Restaurant, at the north of clanbrassil Street, has announced that it will be re-opening its doors in a new temporary premises on Clanbrassil Street.

The restaurant, which is run by Michael and Eileen Connolly, was destroyed after the fire that broke out just before Christmas and gutted the Cycle Shop on Clanbrassil Street, spread to their premises.

However the restaurant re-opened it’s doors at the former Café de Paris restaurant premises on Clanbrassil Street last Thursday morning.

The local eatery is one of the longest-established restaurants in the town and has been operating in Dundalk for 32 years.

The family are hoping to eventually move back to their old premises at 47 Clanbrassil Street.

“We are delighted to be back”, said Eileen Connolly,

“We are getting on great and we would like to thank all our customers for their continued support over the last month and are looking forward to greeting them in our new temporary premises.

“We eventually hope to be back in our old premises and are missing all our former neighbours.”

The restaurant is operating under the same opening hours as before and can be contacted at 042-9335970.
