Great response to Worklink’s CV workshops

Worklink recently ran two very successful events focusing on CV writing skills, their CV workshop ‘Make your CV work for you’ and a CV clinic at O’Fiaich College.

Participants in the CV workshop and CV clinic rated both events very highly and found that they gained helpful information and support from Worklink volunteers.

The workshop was run by Paul Smith, a career coach and Worklink volunteer.

Paul explained how to lay out a CV, what to include, how to write a cover letter, and how to avoid common mistakes. Participants then brought their completed CVs to the clinic a week later to receive one-to-one feedback.

“Both our CV events were very well attended with great feedback from the people who took part,” said Ceinwen Fergus, Worklink’s North East Regional Coordinator. “We plan to run a workshop in April focusing on interview preparation”.

Worklink is a volunteer organisation offering free information and support to unemployed jobseekers and are an active local group which has run several successful jobseeker and employer events over the last 18 months.

Worklink would like to thank all volunteers who gave up their free time to ensure the success of the CV events, and O’Fiaich College who very kindly hosted both events. For further details see
