There will be a vigil at Dundalk Market Square this Friday at 1pm.
“The people of Gaza are the victims of a horrific onslaught,” said Councillor Tomas Sharkey.
“The pictures of their plight demonstrate to everybody that there is no justification for the attacks on their homes and communities.
“The human tragedy has sickened everybody and the actions of the Israeli forces are to be condemned.
“This Friday, we are calling on as many people as possible to come to the Market Square this Friday. If possible, bring Palestine flags.
“A local initiative will also be launched. The public are being asked to donate toys, childrens clothes, baby supplies and first aid kits that will be sent to families in Gaza.”
