There was a great buzz at Aura Leisure Centre with the opening of the long awaited fitness studio extension on Thursday, February 28.

There were lots of taster classes available for both kids and adults from Kids Army Bootcamp and Kids Cheerleading to spin and step off challenges for the adults.

Two independent local judges were on hand to judge Aura’s fitness instructors who challenged each other in delivering master classes with a twist.

There was also lots of nutritional advice and ideas available from “protein pancakes”, “Carb cookies” and “detox juices” and lots of other alternatives to ensure a healthy diet.

A few lucky members also won free memberships, free swim lessons and some passes for free fitness classes in a few of the draws on the evening.

The new studio adds to the already extensive list of facilities at Aura and offers some new and exciting classes and courses from the exclusive Bokwa dance fitness, kid’s yoga for various ages and abilities, Aura Insanity and many more.

The studio is also available for day time rental so groups looking for a superb venue to deliver activity classes should pop down for a visit.

The first Bokwa class will be commerencing this Wednesday at 7pm in the studio. Come along and try the new dance craze in fitness with Siobhan.
