Dundalk Outcomers have announced that the annual Dundalk Gay Pride Festival will take place from the 14-19 July.
Now in its fifth year the festival was created to provide a regional version of the Pride events that take place among lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) communities worldwide.
Last year, Dundalk Pride attracted hundreds of visitors from around the region and this year’s event promises to be even more successful.
The programme for Dundalk Pride 2014 centres around the Pride Day, a community open day which will take place at the Outcomers Centre on Saturday, 19 July.
Other events happening as part of the festivities include a Pride Party and much more.
After the weekend of Giro d’Italia festivities, many can appreciate the value local festivals and events can have for your trade and the group hope that you will see this as a perfect opportunity to bring some more activity to the economy of Dundalk and Louth.
Financial assistance towards meeting the cost of this year’s festivities is the most urgently needed support and any financial assistance that any business or person can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Vouchers and prizes for a raffle to be held as part of the festivities are also sought and Pride posters are also available to put up in any premises to advertise the event.
Details on making donations can be found on the website at www.dundalkpride.com/donate/ or by contacting Dundalk Outcomers at 042-9329816.
