Brendan in Voice of Ireland live shows

Brendan McCahey from Magheracloone, near Carrick, has made it thorugh to the licve shows of the Voice of Ireland entertainment show on RTE.

Brendan made it through to the battle stages on Sunday evening.

“I will be on Bressie’s team,” said a jubilant Brendan.

“There will be three of us. One will be chosen by the public, one by Bressie and the other judges, and then one unfortuneately will go out.”

Brendan spent a number of years working with Danny Hughes music shop in Blackrock and when Bressie heard his voice on the show and turned round, he said:

“I thought I knew this man’s voice. I know this man. He works in Conor Hughes, one of the best music shops in the country.”

Brendan is a very experienced singer and musician and it all stood to him when auditioned for the show.

“It is a matter of holding your nerve and I think the judges know if you are in the moment or not,” he said.
