On Saturday last, Fine Gael candidate for Dundalk-Carlingford, John McGahon and his campaign team braved the wind and rain as they leafleted and canvassed Dundalk throughout the weekend.

“It’s great to have the support of so many of my friends who knocked on doors all day despite the weather,” said John.

“I firmly believe that politics in Dundalk and North Louth needs new blood.

“I have been knocking on doors for six weeks now and the reception has been very positive.

John has been involved in politics from a young age and has seen how politics can have a positive impact on people’s lives.

“People want to see new faces and fresh ideas, especially at local level,” continued John.

“We have a very strong Fine Gael team between myself, Colin Goss and Cllr.Martin Murnaghan”.

John added:“I have a strong commitment to my native town of Dundalk and North Louth and I want to contribute to it’s future by playing my part as a local representative”.
