St. Vincent’s Art department is working feverishly at the moment in preparation for a major upcoming exhibition which will feature art works created by both past and present students.
The collection will feature paintings, drawings, batiks, fashion designs and sculptural pieces.
There are contributions from pupils currently attending the school, graduates who are studying Art, Craft and Design at third level and those who have pursued their careers in the Visual Arts, alongside work from teachers in the school.
The exhibition marks the opening of a recently refurbished building that was formerly part of the Convent of Mercy and which will hold the new library and media room.
Art teachers Leanne Mullen, Carmel Clyne and Caoimhe Woods have been working alongside Declan Honan to organise the event and hope it will give members of the public an opportunity to view the wonderful work created within the department.
The exhibition will open to the public from the 14 - 25 October from 11am-3pm, Monday - Friday.
