Local band Third Smoke will be representing Louth at Dublin festival Youbloom at the end of June.

Bob Geldof is one of the people behind the festival and the idea is to bring 50 international new bands from all corners of the world and 50 of our own home grown new acts to play over 5 different venues over the weekend, June 28-30.

There will also be conferences taking place about the music industry that bands, industry, music enthusiasts can avail of.

The Louth four-piece have been busy, packing out quayside venue the Spirit Store as well as bringing their manic live energy to the Academy 2 and Whelan’s. They also recently made it to the final five of Hot Press’s national competition ‘The Big Break’.

Tickets for the Youbloom festival are priced 15e for a night ticket 35e for weekend tickets and 75e for full delegate passes.
