Social enterprise and mortgage advice and lobby group New Beginning will be holding a free seminars in at the Crowne Plaza Dundalk, from 7pm-9pm, on Wednesday, 27 November.
The seminar will outline all the options available for dealing with debt – including personal insolvency and bankruptcy.
The seminar is two hours long and will cover how to engage and negotiate with your lender, the options available (e.g. split morgages, debt restructuring, mortgage-to-rent, sale for loss) – what is being offered by the banks as solutions, what is not being offered, how Personal Insolvency works, what is Bankruptcy and how does it work and there will alos be a question and answer session
Bankruptcy provisions in Ireland have recently been amended, bringing the term down from 12 years to 3 years, and part of the reason for holding the seminar is to make people aware of this, either as a direct option to take, or as a bargaining tool with lenders.
