Local business Aruna Sauce’s is running a competition inviting schools’ transition year students to take part in the Aruna Sauce’s ‘Spice Up Your School’ competition.

The staff at Aruna Sauces believe that entrepreneurial skills are to be celebrated in this current climate and that is why they want local school’s TY students to create the most alternative and unusual recipe using Aruna Sauces.

“We believe that Aruna sauces can be used in many different ways as well as the traditional curry”, said one of the founders of Aruna Sauces Sarah Nic Lochlainn, “and are therefore looking for students to submit their creative, innovative and unusual recipes using Aruna sauces as an ingredient.”

The top three finalists of the competition will get the chance to come to a quality kitchen and film a cooking demonstration with the founders of Aruna Sauces Sarah Nic Lochlainn and chef Sarjit Chanda.

The winner of the competition will receive a Versus dual core tablet and an entrepreneurial talk for the whole school by the successful entrepreneur and Dragon, from RTÉ’s Dragons Den Gavin Duffy.

All entries including recipe and photo should be submitted before 5pm on April 22 to competition@aruna.ie by the transition year coordinator or teacher.

If you need any further information in entering your TY class into the competition please contact us on 086-1625850.

Please make sure that the winning school is available on the 26th of April for Gavin Duffy’s appearance.
