GARDAI in Dundalk are still appealing to anyone who can help trace the whereabouts of missing Dundalk man Seán Waters.

Sean, also known as Johnny, is aged 60, and has not been seen since Tuesday of last week 12 March.

He was then seen in the vicinity of the Dundalk Retail Park.

Sean, who lives at Laurel Grove, is about 5 feet 4″ tall and about 12 stone in weight. He has fine grey hair with a receding hairline and blue eyes. He often wears glasses.

When last seen at the retail park he was wearing a brown jacket and trousers.

His photograph has been posted on facebook and shops and businesses all over town have put up posters with his picture and the Garda contact numbers.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dundalk Garda station on 042 9388400.

Sean’s family, friends and neighbours have been deeply worried by his sudden disappearance.

“We didn’t expect any thing like this,” his brother Pat Waters said this week. “He is a lovely, nice, quiet person.

“We are all very concerned.”

Sean worked with Ecco from when it opened in the 1960s. It later became Littlefuse and he worked there until it closed.

The Ecco plant was well-known for its thriving social and recreational club and its great quiz teams and this is a past-time Sean still enjoys.

“He takes part in parish quizzes,” said Pat. “It would be his main hobby. He currently does relief work at the offices of the social welfare department.”

Once again, the number to contact is Dundalk Garda station on 042 9388400.
