The Great Orchestra Of Christmas Charity takes place in the Spirit Store this Thursday, January 9 and Friday, January 10.
Established in 1993, this is Poland’s biggest and best supported charity for sick children and is celebrated all over the world.
It is one of the biggest, non-governmental, non-profit, charity organizations in Poland.
The GOCC Foundation has American Heart Association Certification for providing courses in CPR and ECC, and use of high technology for medical lifesaving.
The Spirit Store is delighted to be involved in this cause that brings Polish and Irish bands together to raise money.
On Thursday live acts Nadzor, Projekt Borsuk and Apteka will take to the Spirit Store stage.
Nadzor, who were formed back in the 80’s, are a dark metal band and described as “noisy as hell” while Projekt Borsuk also known as The Bardger Project are a Black Keys/White Stripe type duo.
The legendary psychodelic punk trio Apteka, hailed and played by John Peel himself as he recognized Apteka’s debut album (Big Noise – LP/CD Arston 1990) to be the most original music from the eastern Europe good enough to take the islands” by storm.
On Friday it Dem Fools, who have been playing the Irish indie circuit for about 3 years now will perform along with solo artists El Gray and Sonia and up and coming folk duo Lilly Hates Roses.
Tickets to each night are priced at €15 or €25 for both nights. Doors open 8pm.
