It has been reported that a woman in Australia believes her former boyfriend to be responsible for the killing of Dundalk woman Irene White.

An Irish woman currently living in Australia has claimed a former boyfriend as the man responsible for the death of Irene White at Ice House Hill Dundalk in 2005.

The woman may now be interviewed by Australian police, on the request of the gardai, according to Irish Daily Mail crime correspondent Ali Bracken.

Irene White was found stabbed to death in her home in April 2005. The case was never solved. A man had been seen running from the house in the direction of Ice House Hill at the time of the killing.
