Throughout the past year, 20 year old Tracey Rogers has managed to raise an astonishing €16,767,64 for the Irish Cancer Society through a series of fundraising events including fun runs, coffee mornings, quizes, a vintage run and a calender produced from last years Movember.
Tracey, who is a cancer survivor herself, has been overwhelmed by not just the support of her family and friends but the entire county.
“Looking back, I can’t believe all the good luck messages I received and donations toward my fundraising, I never expected it at all”, said the Dundalk woman.
Tracey wanted to give back the support that she received while she battled the disease and help others who have been affected by cancer.
“ As a survivor you know how it feels to be affected by it, and what a strain it puts on your family.
“I hope the money fundraised will help raise awareness of cancer and support people as they go through the tough time.”
Tracey will continue to take part in different events to continue her fundraising.
