Dundalk Railway Heritage Society have launched a new website which they hope will encourage new members to get involved with the popular society.

“It’s not just about trains you know, the society also has walking tours, Santa steam trips and all manner of events organised across the year,” says Thereasa Dullaghan, who designed the website. “We want younger people to get involved, and having a website and links to social media is a great way of doing that.

“It will also make it far easier to become a member and to let people know that we are out there. Facebook is a really large arena and you can connect with so many people on it.

“The website has just been launched, so we are hoping to expand on it in the next few months and years. It is also an archive of photographs, larger than the ones on Facebook currently.”
