An enthralling combination of fiddle and guitar is set to win over audiences at the Oriel Centre Dundalk Gaol tomorrow (Wednesday, August 21).
County Clare maestro Martin Hayes is regarded as the most influential fiddle player of his generation and the most important irish musician to emerge on the scene the last 50 years.
His playing defies ordinary descriptions and together with his musical partner, guitarist Dennis Cahill they have achieved the delicate balance of tradition versus creativity and innovation, carefully paying respect to the roots of the music whilst creating an engaging new sound.
Their live concerts are legendary and run the gauntlet of highs and lows of mesmerizing intensity, leaving audiences stunned but emotionally fulfilled.
The concert will begin at 8pm and tickets are €18. Call 042 9328887 for further info or to book tickets.
