Dundalk Dog Rescue are holding their annual Picnic in the Park on Sunday, August 25 in Ice House Hill Park at 2pm.

Entry is free and it promises to be a fantastic day out for you and your dog(s).

The volunteers have lots planned to help you enjoy the day. and it is €2 for all events, raffles, and sale items.

All funds raised on the day will go toward the rescue centre who do everything they can to save stray and unwanted dogs facing euthanasia in dog pounds in Louth and surrounding counties.

There will be a dog show at 3pm (registration between 2-3pm), Fast & Furious Frolickers, a simple agility circuit is at 4.15pm and at 5pm a Doggie Photo Shoot Raffle will take place and the winner will be treated to a photo shoot in the comfort of its own home. All photos taken will be presented to the owner on a DVD and your favourite photo will be mounted on canvas.

Local professional groomer Katy from “Top Dog” groomers will also be on hand to give some useful tips on grooming your dog and local dog behaviourist and veterinary nurse Joanne from ‘Problem Paws’ will be on hand to give advice on dog training and behaviour.
