The future is bright for 45 graduate job seekers and cross border enterprises.

The ASPIRE programme, which is part financed by the EU Cross Border Programme is offering 45 graduate level posts with local companies.

Chairman of the East Border Region Gerald Mallon welcomed the jobs boost,

“We in East Border Region are delighted to be the lead partner on such an innovative and worthwhile project,” he said. “this job creation is greatly welcomed across the region”.

One of the companies looking to the future with ASPIRE is STATsports Technologies in County Louth. With growing sales in Ireland and the UK, the company plans to enter the US market with the assistance of an ASPIRE graduate.

Their CEO Sean O’Connor said their ASPIRE graduate will have the opportunity to gain direct experience in international marketing while working alongside some of the leading brands in sport and media.

Sharon Daly, ASPIRE programme co-ordinator said the programme represents a unique opportunity to utilise the skills of graduates on high level projects designed to increase sales, productivity, exports and job creation.

It also offers employment opportunities to graduates who are seeking employment with forward thinking local companies.
