Dundalk woman and Apprentice star Orla McAdam, who shot to fame in 2008 on TV3’s ‘The Apprentice’, has decided a change of career is in order and has left the comfort of a guaranteed weekly wage and a secure pension for the flexible lifestyle of a yoga instructor.

Orla is a former estate agent and medical sales representative and she is now set to experience life in a Yoga mecca in India.

“I decided to leave the corporate world, the comfort of a pension and wage, and make my millions as a yoga instructor,” laughed Orla.

“I was so caught up in the corporate world, I didn’t know anything else about life,” admits Orla, “being a yoga teacher has huge health benefits and I now have a positive mental attitude towards things.

This Summer Orla will be going to the prestigious Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga School in India.

“I spent two months there earlier this year and delighted to go back,” said Orla, “the school is where ashtanga yoga was born and has a worldwide following. I know there lies a tough road ahead of me but I trust in the universe that it will all work out.”

Orla teaches in Dublin, Newry and Dundalk and you can contact her via Facebook.
