Local Dundalk woman is hosting various fundraisers around Dundalk for ‘Development Perspectives’

Dundalk woman Laura Maguire is heading to Zambia with‘Development Perspectives’, a development education organisation that aims to involve people in the local and global development process.

Dundalk woman Laura Maguire is heading to Zambia with‘Development Perspectives’, a development education organisation that aims to involve people in the local and global development process.

Laura will be taking part in a three week work/study programme in Zambia as part of ‘Development Perspectives’ flagship programme.

She and 20 other volunteers will depart for Zambia on July 21st.

Laura held a raffle in The Marshes Shopping Centre on Thursday last. For first prize there was a Louth Jersey, second prize was GOSH make-up and third prize was a voucher for a wash and blow dry in Cut Above hairdressers.

Her next fundraiser is on Friday the 22nd of June in Gormley’s pub on Park Street.

A band (To be announced) will provide the entertainment and there will also be a table quiz.

The quiz will begin at 8.30pm and costs €20 per team with four people to each team. Prizes will include hair vouchers, a meal in an Italian restaurant and designer Tommy Hilfiger belts and wallets.

All are welcome to attend.

Laura is also taking part in an absail down the Crowne Plaza on the 1st of July and is still looking for sponsors.

All the proceeds that she raises will go toward funding her trip to Zambia.
