NORTH Louth once again been hit with a wave of diesel sludge dumping.
There were two finds this week, with another one found in the south of the county. ON Wednesday 34 IBCs were found on lands at Edentubber, Ravensdale – following a planned search by Custom and Excise Service.
Four IBCs were found discarded at the Racecourse near housing development in Dundalk. Total of 58 IBC’s equating to 58,000 lts of Toxic Diesel Sludge.
Contractors on behalf of Louth County Council and the Custom and Excise Service have been tasked to recover and dispose of the material.
