TWO Dundalk sisters are looking for your help this weekend, as they perform as dancers for Zoe Alexis, who is making a bid for Eurovision glory this Friday on the Late Late Show.

Emmanuella (24) and Anita Salako (19) need as many votes as possible for Zoe Alexis, who is performing the song “Fire” in front of the nation.

Emmanuella and Anita will feature on the night as their act goes head to head to win the right to represent Ireland at the upcoming Eurovision.

Their song has already garnered the support of One Direction star and global heart throb Niall Horan, who has highlighted their song on his Twitter feed, and they now hope that their pop anthem can win the hearts of the nation.

“It’s crazy. We knew Niall growing up, as Zoe comes from Mullingar. We now have over a 100,000 hits on the youtube video of ‘Fire’,” says Emmanuella, who has featured in the Democrat before, most notably when her dance school hoodie was worn by another global superstar, Justin Bieber. “Our song is number 3 on the night, and it will come down to votes. We hope the people of Dundalk will vote for us.”

The girls got the news while on holiday in Nigeria over Christmas, and raced back to Ireland to prepare for the big night.

“It’s been really surreal,” says Emmanuella, “It will be the biggest performance of our lives.”

Zoe Alexis, who is from Mullingar, told the paper that “It was an easy choice when we got the call to enter. Emmanuella and Anita are such hard workers and are so talented that it was an easy decision.”
