The Dundalk Democrat’s very own Darren Rafferty is planning on running the Dublin Marathon, to raise money for Postnatal Depression Ireland on the 29th of October

The Dundalk Democrat’s very own Darren Rafferty is planning on running the Dublin Marathon, to raise money for Postnatal Depression Ireland on the 29th of October

This will be the third marathon that Darren has ran and it is for a very worthy cause.

He will also be holding a fundraiser in the Marshes Shopping Centre this Saturday, September 8th. There will be a bucket collection from 9am to 6pm and every donation, no matter how small, is appreciated and welcomed.

Postnatal Depression Ireland was initially called the Post Natal Distress Support Group andwas founded in Cork, Ireland in 1992.

It aims to provide support, help and friendship to those suffering from Post Natal Depression.

Twenty years on, and they are the only support group that provides a completely free service to sufferers of PND in Ireland.

The number for their support line is 021 4922083. It is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10am and 2pm.
