“Their own Northern Assembly Minister Conor Murphy oversaw the installation of over 25,000 water metres into homes across the six counties.

“Again and again they say one thing in the South and do another in the North where they have to face up to the realities of government and making hard choices. They are without doubt the most partitionist party in Ireland’s history.” “Sinn Fein have no interest in putting forward concrete solutions to help this country recover. Instead they see Ireland’s problems simply in terms of an opportunity to whip up populist support for themselves.

“They consistently put party before country and don’t give a damn about the consequences.

“I am no fan of the flat rate household charge. It is an interim measure we have been forced to put in place until we have a fair and equitable property tax based on the value of the property and the person’s ability to pay.

“This is standard practise in every other country except Malta and Sinn Fein and the United Left Alliance remain the only socialists in the world to oppose a property tax. Frankly it’s pathetic posturing at its worst.”
