Sinead told the Dundalk Democrat that UBR first got in contact with her in April about playing her music on Absolute Radio which is the UK’s national pop and rock radio station.

Each week DJ Pete Donaldson picks five songs from new acts and plays them on his radio show. Pete was very impressed by Sineads music, commenting that her song ‘Green Eyed Monster’ was “a track that echoes the most fun, playful bands of the genre” and describing another of her songs ‘Sleeper’ as “Pulp - with a crisp yet honeyed vocal line.”

Sinead said that “In June UBR contacted me again to ask if I would be interested in performing in the Olympic Park, and of course I jumped at the chance!”

UBR will have a specially constructed stage in the Olympic Park for unsigned bands and the site has already chosen the lucky emerging artists who will get the opportunity to perform.

Sinead said that she will travel to London on Wednesday August 1st and have a promotional day on Thursday where she will promote her new EP ‘10,000’ which will be released August 10th.

This will not be the last time Sinead performs in the UK this year as she said she will be “returning to visit England in October and hopefully embarking on a mini tour of the main towns and cities, doing different sessions, open mic nights and anywhere else that I can play and share my music.”
