Planning Clinics’ to allow people have their say on Draft County Development Plan

Planning Clinics will be held at various locations throughout Co Louth in November to help the public to shape the County Development Plan for 2015-2021, the draft of which is currently on public display until Wednesday, December 17.

Currently, the draft plan can be reviewed at Council Customer Service Desks and libraries around the county while Dundalk Town Hall on Crowe Street has a facility to discuss the draft plan with a planner during normal office opening hours.

However, for those not able to do so, a number of planning clinics have been arranged throughout the county, offering the public the opportunity to discuss the plan and any associated queries they may have, with a member of staff from the Louth County Council Planning Department.

The planning clinics will take place as follows:

Dunleer: Wednesday, November 5 from 10am to 1pm at the Dunleer Library, Station Road, Dunleer

Drogheda: Thursday, November 6 from 10am to 1pm at Louth County Council offices, Boyne Centre, Patrick St, Drogheda

Ardee: Friday, November 7 from 10am-1pm at the Mid Louth Civic Service Centre, Fairgreen, Ardee

Carlingford:Tuesday, November 11 from 10am to 1pm at the CarlingfordHeritage Centre

Speaking on the Draft Louth County Development Plan and the associated Planning Clinics, Mary T Daly, Director of Services, said: “This is a valuable opportunity for the people of Louth to have their say in the county’s future.

“The planning clinics provide an ideal opportunity for those who are interested to meet a member of the planning department and discuss relevant issues before making a submission to the process.”

Copies of the Draft Plan, Strategic Environmental Report, Natura Impact Report and accompanying documents continue to be available for public inspection during normal opening hours 9am to 5pm (excluding bank holidays and public holidays) until Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the various Council offices in Louth.
