Dundalk music and fim fans will have to wait it seems for the new HMV Xtravision outlet to open, despite a similiar new outfit opening in Drogheda.

Hilco Capital has announced that two new Xtra-vision and HMV integrated stores will officially open in the North East on Saturday 19th October next, at Drogheda and Navan, but not in Dundalk.

Drogheda and Navan are among 28 locations around the country to feature the new dual branded stores.

Commenting on the openings, Larry Howard, CEO of Hilco Capital Ireland said: “Integrating HMV with Xtra-vision is a very exciting way of bringing the HMV brand into towns all over Ireland. Most of these towns have never had a HMV store located in close proximity, and Hilco is looking forward to delivering the HMV experience to these locations. We hope the North East welcome and embrace the new Xtra-vision / HMV stores in Drogheda and Navan.”

The first 11 Xtra-vision and HMV integrated stores will officially open at locations around the country on Saturday 19th October. As well as Drogheda and Navan, stores will also open in Portlaoise, Tullamore, Wicklow, Greystones, Nenagh, Thurles, Newbridge, Carlow and Wexford. A further 17 stores will open over the coming weeks.

To celebrate the official opening, Xtra-vision will be offering fantastic opening day Door Buster Deals, including blu-ray players for €9.99, games consoles from €150, new release music from €7.99, movies from €2.99 and new release games from €29.99. Deals available on a first come first served basis.

Everyone who visits either the Drogheda or Navan stores on Saturday 19th October will also be automatically entered into a draw to win an Xtra-vision and HMV goodie bag, featuring a selection of top music, DVD and games releases.
