Casala is carrying out the work in collaboration with Fujitsu Laboratories and Irish research institutions Tril and Clarity.
Casala provides the unique highly sensed Great Northern Haven in Dundalk while Clarity is a group which leads the field in the analysis of contextual audio and visual data and Tril researches the application of sensory technology within medical environments.
Fujitsu Laboratories is very experienced in harnessing technology to deliver solutions that address human challenges.
The team will be complemented by leading Irish medical consultants including Dr Dermot Power, Gerontologist at the Mater Misericordiae Hospital.
Work on the Kiduku project begins in Ireland this July and is expected to last for three years.
