If you or your children have ever wanted to try martial arts then come along on Saturday, August 31 to the Blackrock Community Centre where there will be an open day for all females regardless of age or ability from 12noon to 4pm.

This will be run by Sensei Mary Marcus 1st Dan who has already started running karate classes specifically for women only.

This taster event will give any female the chance to come along and not only try out some basic moves, but also the opportunity to ask any questions that they may have.

You will be able to meet Mary and see how easy a technique can be taught to either a 4 year old or a 70 year old.

Not only that, but each female regardless of age who attends the open day will receive a complimentary voucher for one class.

There are classes during the week suited to all.

You could attend a weekend class if you work during the week, a morning class after your drop the kids at school or an evening class if you are a stay at home mum.
