The 15th Annual Food Drive at Curves Dundalk collected 580 lbs in weight of food which was donated to Dundalk Simon Community.

Throughout March, both Curves members and the wider community donated non-perishable foods in aid of this worthy cause.

“Our members’ generosity is a true reflection of the Curves spirit and community,” said Paula Duff, Manager of Curves Dundalk.

“We are thrilled with the outstanding effort from our members and friends of Curves.”

Dundalk Simon Community are delighted with the response they have got from all Curves Members and appreciate their generosity.

“The Food Drive is a vital part of our community program that fits perfectly with the Curves philosophy of promoting positive health and creating a community for “real women”,” Paula told the paper.

“We look forward to many years of giving back to the community through deserving charities such as the Dundalk Simon Community.

“Curves members worldwide have donated more than 27.7 million kilos of food since 2004.”

This year, the Curves Food Drive collected many thousands of lbs worth of food from clubs across Europe, which will be distributed to a local food bank or charity of each club’s choice.

New Curves members also contributed to the Food Drive through a special promotion which allowed them to join for a bag of donated food, instead of the regular joining fee.
