A 26 year-old North Louth man admitted possession of three different drugs valued at w1,500 for sale or supply.
Dundalk Court was told that Emmet McGuigan of Ardaghy, Omeath had the drugs, consisting of cocaine, cannabis and cannabis resin on November 19 2011 to distribute among his friends, and didn’t consider himself a drug dealer. He had a previous clear record.
His solicitor Niall Lavery said the defendant had worked as a labourer and carpenter. He had some time ago taken legal highs. He would like to be assessed to do community service.
Judge William Hamill remanded the defendant on bail to May 8th to seek probation and medical reports on him. He said the defendant would be well advised to comply with the probation service and to deal with it if he had a drug problem.
