This award came as a result of playing the role of ‘Fagin’ in the society’s production of of Oliver last October.

Maria Waring chairperson of Dundalk Musical Society said this was a well deserved honour for Tim, and the Society are very proud of him.

This award came after very stiff competition from other societies.

No less than 87 societies were professionally adjudicated.

To receive the runner up award is testimony to Tim’s acting skills.

Tim now adds this award to another he received for Best Actor some years ago in the All Ireland Amateur Drama Awards.

Tom is now looking forward to playing the role of ‘Max’ in the Society’s forthcoming production of ‘The Sound of Music’.

The Society’s most recent show was musical caberet ‘Broadway and Beyond’ back in May which was a huge success.

Auditions for their next production ‘The Sound of Music’ were held at the end of May and the group is currently rehearsing for what promises to be an amazing show.

The AIMS Awards night was held at the end of June in INEC, Gleneagles Hotel, Killarney and the ceremony was attended by just under 1000 members.
