The Principal Ms Mary Jackson expressed delight at the success of the students following the release of the results on Wednesday last.
A larger than usual cohort sat the Leaving Certificate in the school and included the first Transition Year group in many years as well as sixteen students who sat the Leaving Certificate Applied Exams. The most remarkable from this year’s results is the strength and depth of high grades across all twenty subjects on the curriculum and ten of our students achieved points well in excess of 500. The students will now anxiously await the release of the CAO offers on Monday next.
The students received their results in the school on Wednesday the 15th of August. They were greeted by the Principal, Ms. Mary Jackson, and their Year Head, Ms. Grainne Coen. The best overall Leaving Certificate result was achieved by Niamh McCormack, who got 565 points. There were many students who achieved in excess of 500 points and look forward to receiving their CAO offers next Monday. The school was certainly a happy place on Wednesday, the day of the Leaving Certificate results, as all the hard work put in by staff and students came to fruition. Congratulations to everyone!
