Dundalk rock group I’d Fight Ghandi who consist of Kevin Carroll, Alan Duffy, Mark Hewitt, Ian Hunt Duffy, Aidan Hunt Duffy and Sean McMahon, are to appear on their first ever movie soundtrack.
Two of the bands songs will appear the film ‘Gold’ which is directed by Niall Heery and will feature an all star cast including David Wilmot (Intermission, King Arthur), Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones ) and James Nesbitt (The Hobbit, Bloody Sunday ) among others.
The film is about wandering loner Ray who tries to track down his estranged ex-partner and teenage daughter so his dying father can see her one last time. Comedy ensues when, disguised in an outfit he sought from a charity clothing bank, he realises they have built a new life with his former PE teacher.
Gold premiered in The Savoy Theatre, Dublin last weekend as part of the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival.
