Local man told to stick at it by millionaire

A local man who gifted an ornamental stick to millionaire hotelier John Fitzpatrick has been offered a unique busineess opportunity by the ‘Secret Millionaire’.

“I gave to stick to John on Sunday night to honour him for the work he has done for Dundalk,” said Garrett O’Rourke. “He is a very genuine and down to earth man. He was blown away with it. It has his family name, its meaning, the origin of the family and the crest.

“He told me that if I can make the sticks he will stock them in his Dublin hotels and possibly launch them in New York.”

Garrett is now looking for enough stock so he can supply the incresed demand for his sticks that are made out of Irish wood and each stick is a unique stick. They can be given at anniversaries, at birthdays, at Christening, and you can get anything you want on them, even your football club or favourite song.”

Garrett hopes he can supply them to gift shops in the US. “John said he can open the doors for me, but I have to walk through them.”

Garrertt is in receipt of €108 benefit a week in benefits and is currently only producing the sticks as a sideline.
